Mar Severios Sunday School was founded in 1966 in loving memory of H.G. Poulose Mar Severios Metropolitan, with the purpose of guiding children in Christian faith, values, and a meaningful relationship with God. From its earliest days, the Sunday School has been a place where young hearts learn the teachings of the Bible, the life of Jesus Christ, and the foundations of Christian living. The first Head Mistress, Ammini Joseph Chummar, played a vital role in shaping the early years of the Sunday School. Her dedication and care helped build a strong base that continues to support our students even today. In 2017, we celebrated 50 years of Mar Severios Sunday School — a milestone that reflects our long journey of nurturing children in faith, love, and Christian character. Every year, we also conduct OVBS (Orthodox Vacation Bible School), giving children a joyful and interactive way to learn Bible stories, songs, activities, and spiritual lessons during their vacation. Today, Mar Severios Sunday School remains committed to helping children grow as confident, loving, and spiritually rooted individuals, while encouraging them to live out the values of Christianity in their daily lives
